Time Flies!

Jan 6, 2026

Hard to believe that 2026 is here. TGW has lots of interesting work ahead this year. And, we’ll be based in England for another six months beginning mid-March. It saves a long flight across the ocean to be working from England for our international projects…and because we are in the Cotswolds we are surrounded by rolling hills, centuries old churches and towns and….COWS! I had no idea I was such a fan of cows. But each morning out the window I see a small herd of them clippity-clopping past the living room window. They have no human attending them. They know the way up from their pasture in the valley to the Common, a many acre expanse of lush grass at the top of the hill.

In the U.S.we often consider 100 years to be old…but here in the Cotswolds the buildings are centuries old. Its amazing to go into one of the many cathedrals here and think about the centuries of people whose feet have walked thru the cemetery, who have said their prayers, and sung the hymns. Its quite a wonderful feeling to be a part of a town as old as the many old towns in the Cotswolds. We’re in Minchinhampton, which is an old town once known for weaving. My colleagues at the Novalis Trust are close by and we have felt grateful for their warm welcome as well as being able to see and support the Social Resilience Model in action in many creative ways with their special needs children and adults. Jake Lukas, the CEO of the Novalis Trust, and I met when we were presenting at a conference in Boston about 5 years ago and have been great friends and colleagues ever since.

It is a blessing to have Zoom! No matter where you are in the world as long as there is internet access we can maintain projects in the U.S. and anywhere else. And…keep in touch with children and grandchildren!

This year will be a year for writing as well as workshops. So, as the cows go past our window they’ll see me busily writing about resilience…and counting my blessings.

I hope 2026 is a generative year for each of you reading this! All the Best in 2026

Our Vision

We envision a world where it is the norm, rather than the exception, for human beings to live into their full potential and make life-affirming contributions to the whole.
